Enjoy workshops in different dance styles from ballet to Hip Hop – plus arts and crafts and more!

Learn classical repertoire, adapted to your level. This is a wonderful way to challenge yourself, to learn, rehearse and perform a group dance.

  • Adult Ballet 2.5 hour repertoire workshop with pianist accompaniment, suitable for those age 18+
    • 10am-12.30pm – Level 1: For dancers who are studying at General and Improvers level, attending weekly classes. Not suitable for complete beginners.
    • 1.30-4pm – Level 2: Suitable for dancers currently studying RAD Intermediate Foundation and above, or equivalent.
  • Silver Swans 2 hour repertoire workshop with pianist accompaniment, for those age 55+
    • 10.30am-12.30pm – Morning: General Level. Not suitable for complete beginners.
    • 1.30-3.30pm – Afternoon: General Level. Not suitable for complete beginners.

Classical repertoire
Repertoire bought to life through ballet, mime and storytelling.

  • Pre-School (age 3-4*): 10-10.45am
  • Primary (age 5-6*): 11.30am-12.30pm
  • Grade 1 (age 7*): 12-1pm
  • Grade 2 (age 8*): 10-11.30am
  • Grade 3 (age 9*): 2-3.30pm
  • Grades 4 & 5 (age 10+*): 1.30-3pm

Creative dance sessions
Discover key characters and develop your own movement style, in a fun 1-1.5 hour workshop.

  • Age 4-5: 10.15-11.15am
  • Age 6-7: 2-3.30pm
  • Age 8-11: 11.45am-1.15pm

These are general level workshops, suitable for beginners+

NEW All Boys 1-day Intensive
Take part in ballet, repertoire and creative dance sessions across the day, between 10am-3pm.

    NEW Hip Hop workshops with ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company
    Find your groove with hip hop sessions inspired by ZooNations’ production, The Mad Hatters Tea Party. Older students will have chance to learn repertoire directly from the show!

    • Age 4-7: 10-10.45am
    • Age 8-12: 11.15am-12.30pm
    • Age 13+: 1.30-3.00pm

    NEW Vocational Students 1-day Intensive
    Join Jasmin Vardimon Company to explore their production of ALiCE, between 10am-3.30pm. Recommended for dance students aged 14-18 years, studying GCSE and A Level dance and/or RAD Intermediate ballet, the equivalent and above.

    • Experience ‘Alice in VR Wonderland’ with Jasmin Vardimon Company
      Step out of the ordinary and into the unexpected, fantastical, and fearless world of Alice – a multi-sensory virtual reality experience. This 20 minute virtual reality experience is designed for age 7+.

    • Craft something wonderland themed!
    • Enjoy a fun letter hunt around the building for entry into the prize draw.
    • View a selection of the Dancing Times archive photos from Alice in Wonderland productions.

    Booking process

    • Places are limited in each workshop and secured on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • Payment is required at the time of booking.
    • An automatic email will be sent via the booking platform Cvent to confirm your registration and payment were successful.
    • Please quote the Cvent order no/ticket ref. when contacting the RAD with any queries related to your booking.
    • Please read and familiarise yourself with our workshop and short courses’ Terms & Conditions before you book, this includes our cancellation and withdrawal policy.
    • When a class is fully-booked, a waiting list will be activated. The Learning and Participation team will contact you via email should a suitable place become available.
    • After the closing date, you will receive an additional confirmation by email, detailing registration and collection times for your child, suggested dress, and all other relevant information for the course and venue.
