Manuscripts and transcripts
Manuscripts can be found among many of the special collections and archives in the library.
These include several by Ivor Guest as well as the complete uncut manuscript of Phyllis Bedells’ My Dancing Days and various working copies of GBL Wilson’s Dictionary of Ballet.
Transcripts in the Adeline Genée archive include a radio interview given in Canada in 1941, while the Phyllis Bedells collection contains several transcripts for radio broadcasts and the script for BBC TV’s This is Your Life featuring Ninette de Valois (1964). The Clement Crisp collection includes various interview transcripts while the BBC TV script for its Tribute to Margot Fonteyn (1991) is housed alongside.
