Step Around Town 2024

Please note: registration is now closed.

A series of uplifting and energetic evenings of dance, based in different boroughs across London.

Step Around Town events are our regional performance opportunities for groups on our programme. These events offer groups the chance to demonstrate the skills and dance techniques they have been working on throughout their Step into Dance sessions. Young people have the chance to mix with other like-minded dancers, be exposed to new dance styles and perform to their friends and families.

These performances are a chance to see the array of work from Schools and Youth Organisations on the Step into Dance programme, as well as appearances by our Youth Company, SYNC.

This year, for the first time, we will be hosting two Relaxed Step Around Town events, designed to cater specifically to the needs of our SEND groups who may find it difficult to participate in our after school performances. These events will be relaxed sharing events for our SEND groups to share what they have been working on with their family and friends as part of our run of Step Around Town events. These sharings will differ from the evening Step Around Town events in the way that they will run during the school day, be much shorter and have been specifically curated to cater to students with additional needs. Of course, all of our events remain inclusive and we continue to encourage and welcome our SEND groups to attend all of our events, including the alternative Step Around Towns which take place in the evening in several boroughs across London
